    While tear trough fillers can be a great option for many patients leading to incredible results, it isn’t a treatment that works for everyone! At Lotus, we follow a strict pre-screening process where we require you to send images before your consultation to determine if this is the appropriate treatment for you.

    HERE ARE SOME SIGNS YOU MIGHT BE A GOOD CANDIDATE:

    • Noticeable hollowness under your eyes
    • Dark shadows under your eyes 
    • Deep tear troughs 

    WHAT MAKES YOU AN UNSUITABLE CANDIDATE FOR TEAR TROUGH?

    • Having no hollowing under the eye, meaning there would be no area for the hyaluronic acid filler to go
    • Having under-eye ‘bags’ – permanent pouches under the eyes
    • Having really loose skin around the eyes. 
    • If you are prone to swelling or puffiness around the eye or upper cheek that doesn’t resolve within an hour of waking up in the morning 
    • Any type of infection around the eye area

A great procedure to address these issues is Sculptra injections.
